The breathtaking cliffs of Minnehaha Falls, Blue Mountains, Australia became the stage for an extreme world record attempt that combined courage, skill, and danger.
On June 18th, a crew of trained professionals gathered to capture a WORLD RECORD freestyle døds jump from a jaw-dropping 42.5 meters (about 139 feet). The daring jump was filmed by @lostmtns and supported by the philosophy of extreme sending, @philosophyofsend.
⚠️ The Risks Behind the Glory
Extreme sports are not for the faint of heart. This jump—though executed by seasoned professionals with a safety crew—had serious consequences.
The jumper sustained:
A fractured skull
Back injury
Concussion
Burst eardrum
This serves as a sobering reminder: even the most trained athletes in extreme environments face life-threatening risks.
🙌 Shoutouts & Crew
Huge thanks went out to Vali and Con for making this shoot possible.
Special shoutout to @bluemtns_explore for crewing on the day.
The project highlighted the teamwork required to bring such a world-class stunt to life.
🎥 The Bigger Picture
While the footage is jaw-dropping and the record speaks for itself, this jump also opens up conversations about pushing human limits safely. Extreme sports thrive on adrenaline and achievement, but the cost of one mistake can be immense.
At Litty Entertainment, we highlight moments like these not just for the thrill, but to remind our community of the discipline, training, and respect for risk that every great achievement demands.
